When to reach out urgently

- You've received a 5-day, 10-day, or 30-day notice from your landlord
- You've been served with an eviction summons
- Your court date is within the next week
- A sheriff has posted a move-out notice on your door
- Your utilities are being shut off by your landlord

If you're a Chicago Housing Authority or subsidized-housing resident, additional protections may apply. How pricing works for housing matters
